Travis James Domangue, 75, a native and resident of Morgan City, was called home November 29, 2023. He was born October 12th, 1948, to Lela Mae Granier and Lionel Joseph Domangue. He was a graduate of Morgan City High School and attended Nicholls state university until he was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam war. Travis served honorably in the 82nd airborne from 1969 to 1971. After returning home, he continued his studies at Nichols where he met the love of his life and future wife of 49 years, Ana Elizabeth Pineda. The two would marry August 10th,1974 and begin to build their family. Travis then began a career in the offshore oil and gas industry. Travis would often spend his spare time duck hunting, bass fishing, growing his garden and spending as much time in the outdoors as he could. His absolute favorite pastime was spending time with his loving family and beloved grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ana Elizabeth; his daughter, Danielle Domangue Breaux and husband, Joshua Breaux, of Morgan city and their two children, Juliana and Joshua Jr. ; his son, Grant James Domangue and wife, Christi Domangue, and their son, Samuel James Domangue of Quitman, TX. ; and his siblings, Marion Gobert and husband, Norbert, of Colorado Springs, CO. and Paul Domangue of Baton Rouge, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lela Mae Granier Domangue and Lionel Joseph Domangue and a daughter, Mary Theresa Domangue.
A time of memorial visitation and remembrance will be held for Travis on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 9am until time of memorial services at 10:30am at Hargrave Funeral Home located at 1031 Victor II Blvd Morgan City, LA 70380. Graveside services will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery with military honors being rendered by the East St. Mary Parish Funeral Squad.
