Linda D. Vining

Linda D. Rodrigue Vining passed away on November 20, 2024 at the age of 73 surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Columbia, Mississippi and a longtime resident of Morgan City, Louisiana. She leaves behind those to cherish her memory; her daughters, Amanda Vining (Evy), Patricia Rodriguez (Elvin), Mellisa Vining (Glenn) and Heather Vining, 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Lula Wetwiski and numerous family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Clement Joseph Vining Jr., her former husband Antoine Wallace Rodrigue Sr., her sons; Christopher Noel Rodrigue and Antoine Wallace Rodrigue Jr., her granddaughter Tasha Massoletti (Michael), three brothers and her parents Preston and Maddie Dennis. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.

Linda enjoyed life to the fullest. Her idea of the perfect day would be to have the whole family over to her house to enjoy family time and a good meal, especially her shrimp fried rice. She loved being a mom and even more being “Maw” to those special grandbabies. She also had an eye for the art, she loved to paint, crochet and even dabbled in photography. Her strong will and love of life will live on in our memories and in our hearts.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Linda on Sunday, November 24, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Hargrave Funeral Home, 1031 Victor II Blvd, Morgan City, Louisiana 70380, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 5:00 PM.
