Henry leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Laura Belle Daigle Aucoin; his five sons, Henry Aucoin Jr. and his wife, Susan, Steve Aucoin Sr. and his wife, Patricia W., Sidney Aucoin and his wife, Debbie, Jimmy Aucoin and his wife, Patricia R., and Robert Aucoin; two sisters, Beatrice Aucoin Landry and Margie Aucoin Stephens; eight grandchildren, Steve, Jason, Dennis, Alecia, Tiffany, Brandi, Amanda, and Jill and 17 great grandchildren.
Henry is preceded in death by his father, Leonce Aucoin; his mother, Anna Lee Lombas Aucoin; a spouse, Ruth Pennison Aucoin; six brothers, Johnny, Lennis, Leonard, Clement, Paul, and Albert Aucoin; two sisters, Mary A. Verrett Dinger and Carrie A. Daigle; and one great grandson, Joshua Blanchard.
An exceptional husband, father, father-in-law grandfather, and friend, Henry was devoted to his family. A dedicated employee, Henry worked many different jobs. From Boat Captain, Crane Operator, Truck Driver, and Heavy Equipment Operator, Henry did it all. Upon his retirement, Henry took one of his favorite hobbies and turned it into a job he enjoyed…fishing. He will be missed but never forgotten.
The family requests that visitation be observed Monday, May 19, 2014 from 6pm to 9pm and on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 10am until 1pm at Hargrave Funeral Home. Funeral Services will take place Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 1pm at Hargrave Funeral Home with Henry being laid to rest in the St. Andrew Cemetery in Amelia.
