Lurena Faye Flack a native of Gladstone, Illinois and a resident of Patterson went home to be with her Lord on January 31, 2014 at the age of 87.
Faye was an active member of First United Pentecostal Church, of Berwick. She enjoyed a good shopping trip with her daughters. Faye worked at Lakewood Hospital for many years and later worked for and retired from the Twin City Motel. She was an energetic lady working until the age of 85 and still found time to enjoy her family and getting to know each of her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and collecting paper dolls. Being artistically inclined, she created special greeting cards and gifts for her family which will become treasured heirlooms. No one will ever forget her famous pumpkin pies with homemade cool whip.
Faye is survived by her daughter Linda LaCoste of Berwick, son George Flack and his wife Janice of Forest Grove Or. , daughter Gloria LaCoste and her husband Sterling Jr. of Patterson; six grandchildren Ginger LaCoste, Regina LaCoste, Kenny LaCoste, Lurena Newton, Michael Flack, and Kimberly Clifton; 8 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents George H. and Lilly May Bagles; sister, Judith Drew, and son-in-law Kenneth LaCoste.
Visitation will be Monday at First United Pentecostal Church, 3067 6th St, Berwick, La. beginning at 4 pm with a memorial service at 7 pm.
