Donald was a private and quiet individual. When he did have something to say, his family knew it was going to be... something. Though he preferred to keep to himself, he had held a unique nosiness.
A very meticulous and particular individual, Donald looked to the details of things he focused on. This could be seen in his yard work where his green thumb allowed for all sorts of greenery to flourish. He was also the king of upcycling—if something could be reused, you can bet Donald would find a creative way to do it. Thrifty and proud, he was a champion of recycling long before it became trendy. Alongside keeping up with his yard and recycling, Donald was also an avid Saints fan, always cheering for his favorite team with his loyalty unwavering.
Though he was a man of few words, his dedication to family shone through in everything he did. Donald’s presence brought a unique warmth that will be deeply missed by his loved ones, and his spirit will always linger in the laughter and memories he leaves behind.
Those left to cherish Donald's memory are his three daughters, Miki Dupre Rockenbaugh and her companion, Andrew Klein, of Houma, Tyla Dupre Richard and her husband, Johnathon, of Broussard, and Beth Dupre Gauthreaux and her husband, Scott, of Youngsville; six grandchildren, Bristol, Shelby, Nathon, London, Riley, and Brayden and one great grandchild, Loryn. He is also survived by his siblings, Wade Dupre and his wife, Marcia, Cedric Dupre and his wife, Cathy, Clyde Dupre; and his brother-in-law, Michael Berry.
He was reunited in heaven with his birth parents, Eugene and Verda Dupre; his adopted parents, Ralph and Leona Cronier; his siblings, Jade and Joe Godeaux, Hortense "Sam" Berry, Eugene Dupre Jr., and Ronald Dupre; and his adopted siblings, Martha Ann Morgan, and John Marshall Cronier Sr.. He was also preceded in death by two infant siblings.
