Gonzalez Chavez and Herlinda Ruiz Herrera. Being the oldest daughter of 14 siblings,
Rosa learned hard work and sacrifice at an early age as she helped her mother raise her
siblings with the utmost love and care.
Rosa married the love of her life, Rafael Olguin at the age of 17 on July 25, 1974 in
Tijuana Mexico. She was the most devoted wife, and her unconditional love and
affection for her husband was evident to all those that met them.
The family of 2, quickly became 5 as thy welcomed their 3 sons…Christian, Israel, and
Jonathan. Rosa loved her boys with every fiber of her being and had a very special
relationship with each one of them. Her nightly phone calls and blessings were just a
small part of the way se outwardly loved her sons.
The only thing Rosa loved more that being a mother was being a grandmother. She lived
for her 5 grand boys, and her love for them was what kept her fighting. She delighted in
watching them grow, and at any given opportunity, she would brag about how special
each one was.
Rosa was a fighter and her spirit was resilient and an inspiration to everyone. She placed
her needs last and lived a life of selflessness and servanthood.
Rosa is survived by her husband Rafael Olguin, her 3 sons Christian, Israel, and
Jonathan, her adopted daughter Veronica Mercado and her 5 grandsons Jonah, Daniel,
