Clawson, and three daughters Taryn Tardy, Ashley Kirby, and Amy Clawson (William Denham Jr.). He deeply loved his eight grandchildren; Cayden & Zayde Stout; Evan & Alaina Check, Faith Kirby; William, Wren, & Rya Denham. He leaves behind a brother Daniel E. Clawson Jr, a sister Rachel Clawson, three nieces, a nephew, & the Tardy family who loved him as their own & a family of friends.
Michael is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He joined the United States Marine Corps at the age of 17 and took his love of America with him throughout his life. After serving his country he went on to settle in Moreno Valley, CA where he met his wife and raised his family. Mike went on to be a heavy equipment mechanic until he retired in 2020.
The last two years of his life Mike could be found smiling, with Tammy by his side; between his home in Moreno Valley, his camper by the Colorado River in Blythe, and the Family Ranch in Onyx, California. Mike loved camping, fishing, boating, Jet skiing, and off roading his UTV. In Blythe he loved spending time with his Hidden Beaches Family. In Onyx he enjoyed working on the ranch, planting fruit trees, hiking and became a member of the local shooting range. Mike really enjoyed the outdoors, animals, and shopping. Mike always enjoyed life on his terms. He loved his family and his dogs most of all.
Mike was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer, which he bravely battled for six weeks before his passing. His death was sudden and unexpected. His family is forever thankful and grateful to the Doctors and Nursing staff in the Neuro ICU at Kaiser Fontana for their compassion and care they provided to him and his family.
A private memorial service will be held in the coming weeks, but Mikes memory will remain in everyone’s hearts forever. Michael’s final resting place will be Arlington National Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers the family suggests donating to the GBM Foundation. https://www.gbmfoundation.com/
