Linda was born in IN.
Linda” Nana” Brothers
She was a wonderful woman who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love, including the tough love when we needed it. She was smart, funny, strong and always put her family first. Her humor was truly a bright spot in our days, and she lived life with a practical and realistic view that kept us all down to earth.
Our friends growing up became her kids, coworkers turned into friends, and if she invited you into her circle, that was it; you were one of us.
One thing was for sure; if you asked for her advice, she would give it, and she would be honest and right to the point, whether you liked it or not! She loved her pets, the color yellow, the ocean, slot machines, Ruffles chips, and nachos!
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Jacobs and Tina Proffitt, her grandchildren, Isaiah Lebron and Rheyana Proffitt, her brother and his lovely wife, Benny and Dixie Buice, her nephew and his wife, Ben and Mechele Buice, her ‘honorary’ grandchildren, Jehzelle Remirez, and Arianne Essix Gray, her beautiful and adored Great Grandbabies, Sabrina “Sabii” Lebron and Noah Lebron, and her ‘honorary’ great grandbaby, Miguel Moreno.
In addition, we would also like to acknowledge the Johnson family for being more than friends. She loved Bonnie, Nechele, and Johnny like they were family.
Proceeding her in death were her parents, Charles and Louise Buice, her amazing husband, Michael A. Brothers, and her beloved niece, Christy Buice, as well as Aunts and Uncles.
There are no plans for a formal funeral, but a celebration of life will be forthcoming in the future. In lieu of flowers, please donate, in her name, to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which was her charity of choice.
