James is survived by his loving wife, Mina; His loving sister Lois Collins and his children Danielle, Jim Jr., Todd, Tracy, Denise, Lawrence, Larry (Deceased), Iona, Bibiana, Omar and Elizabeth; his daughters-in-law Alicia, Jewell, and Jamie; and his 21 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
James had a big heart and an even bigger personality. He loved laughing, listening to music, bowling, dominoes, and supporting his favorite sports teams, like the 49ers The Golden State Warriors an the San Francisco Giants. His homemade BBQ sauce was coveted by all, as were the words of comfort and inspiration he offered as a volunteer bowling coach for local youth leagues.
James was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
