Robert was born in Medford, MA on May 24, 1933 to Arthur and Ethel (Cosgrove) Kiley. He grew up playing hockey on the ponds of Massachusetts and went on to become an All American hockey player at Boston College and was inducted into its Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996. Bob graduated with a Master’s degree in Economics and a BS in Accounting from Boston College and held various sales and executive positions in business. Bob served his country during the Korean War.
He is survived by his sister, Jean (Kiley) Nangle; his loving children; Bobby (Valerio), David (Denise), LeeAnn, Richard (Sarah), and Brian; grandchildren Meghan and Kevin, Ryan and Aiden, and Tricia, Stephanie and Kristin and great grandchildren Jaliyah, Arianna, Christopher and Jazlene. His wife, Ann, the love of his life, predeceased him in 1973.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 170 Kings Ferry Rd., Montrose, NY from 8:30 am to 10:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following at St. Christopher’s R.C. Church in Buchanan, NY. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
