Lillian Lancaster Edge

Lillian Edge, 84, passed away on June 16th with her loving family by her side. Lillian was a very thoughtful person. She always put everyone else before herself, even through her illnesses. Lillian was a giver; she enjoyed making others smile. She was the best Mom and the best Nanny in the whole wide world. Her children and grandchildren thought the world of her.

Lillian was the daughter of the late Albert and Lillian Lancaster. She was a native of Peekskill. Lillian was the wife of the late George Edge, who passed away 35 years ago.

She is survived by her two sons, George (Marge) and Larry, and three daughters, Cindy (John) Morley, Diane (the late Benny) Baldino, and Susan (Gary) Thompson, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Jack Lancaster and 1 sister, Shirley Siciliano and her loving companion of 30 years, Lou Donovan.

The family will receive friends at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 170 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose, on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the National Breast Cancer Foundation or the Hudson Valley Hospital. The family will like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff members of the Hudson Valley Hospital for their undivided attention to our mother's stay and for taking great care of her family, a special thank you to Dr. Janda, who went above and beyond.
