Diana Lynn Porter

Diane was united with her partner Michele Francies in 1988. They were together for 30 years until Michele’s passing one month ago. She retired from a career she loved, working for Shop Rite as the Deli Manager. Diane was very athletic in her youth. She loved playing basketball, softball, field hockey and volleyball. Her love of sports continued on into her adult life. She loved to watch her children and grandchildren playing in all of their athletic competitions. Away from the athletic field Diane could be found out in the yard mowing and pruning her lawn and plants.

Diane is survived by her children Robert Porter and his wife Trina, and Christina Jackson and her husband Kenneth, her mother Ruth Tompkins, grandchildren Kenneth Jackson, Jr., Alan Porter-Jackson, Mackenzie Porter, Andrew Porter-Jackson, Jordan Porter, and Madison Porter, by her brother Earl Tompkins, Jr., sisters Doreen Ganz and Charlene Benadetto and by many nieces and nephews.

Diane was predeceased by her loving partner Michele Francies, her father Earl Tompkins and her sister Donna Morrow.

Memorial visitation will be held from 2p-5p on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home. A Service will begin at 4:30p on Sunday, May 20th, also at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home.
