Colleen I. Mazzilli

Colleen I. Mazzilli, a resident of Peekskill, NY, passed away on January 29, 2024. She was 83 years old. Colleen was born on July 20, 1940, in Queens, NY to the late Andrew and Catherine (Woolley) McBreen.

After raising her children, she received a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Mercy College and subsequently worked for AIG and Frank B. Hall. She was selfless in service to her church serving as a eucharistic minister for many years. She was a beloved mother and grandmother. Her philosophy in life was to be loving, kind, helpful and supportive to others and to be grateful for all she had.

She is survived by two sons, Michael (Sandra) Mazzilli of Sandpoint, Idaho, and Thomas (Christine) Mazzilli of Cortlandt Manor, New York, and five grandchildren, Matthew, Spencer, Grace, Sydney and Ava.

She was predeceased by her husband, Aldo Mazzilli, and three sisters, Maureen, Kathleen and Eileen.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, February 5th from 9am-11am at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 170 Kings Ferry Rd., Montrose, NY 10548. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Monday, February 5th at 11:30am at Church of the Holy Spirit, 1969 Crompond Rd, Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 1055 Oregon Rd., Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her honor to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
