Teresa Pedicelli Castelli

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Teresa (nee Pedicelli), on May 27, 2020, at the age of 88, victim of COVID-19. She was the cherished wife of 66 years to the late Agostino Castelli (2018) and beloved mother of the late Pietro (1979). She will be tremendously missed by her loving children Maria (Bill), Santina (late Tony), and Michele (Judy); her affectionate grandchildren George (Liz), Peter (Farah), Paul (Tina), Mark (Chanthaery), Alyssa (Brady), Julia (Sean) and Ariana (Corey) and her adoring great-grandchildren Ella, Taylor, Madden, Yasmine, Keaton, Fiona, Charlie and Nolan. She will also be sadly missed by her three brothers in Italy, Giuseppe (Sestilia), Loreto (Valeria) and Vincenzo (Giacomina). She was predeceased by her parents Maria and Gabriele and stepmother Angela; her brothers Antonio, Giorgio (Elvia) and Angelo (late Elia). She will be sadly missed by her brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws and many nieces and nephews; relatives and friends in Canada and Italy.

Her family was the centre of her world! Her beautiful smile, hugs, jokes and conversations will truly be missed. A strong, courageous, hard working woman who showed us to strive forward even when times are hard. We love her for that. She was and always will be our shining light and will forever be with us. We love you to the moon and back.

The family would like to extend many thanks to Dr. Elizabeth McNamara, Dr. Susan Vaitekunas, the K-8 nurses and staff of the Jewish General Hospital for treating our mother with love and compassion. Due to the current circumstances, a private ceremony for the immediate family will be held. A memorial service in her honour will be held at a later date.
