She and her twin sister Genevieve Williams are the second youngest of 6 children born to, the late Mr. and Mrs. Williams.
Janet was determined to go to school; to be a seamstress and have a family.
Janet went to Point Primary School and then attended Princess Margaret Secondary School, where she met her husband Cornel Dunning. They not only attended the same school but also were in the same class. Cornel loved Janet right away, and settled in his heart, that she would be his wife.
Once she finished school Cornel and Janet made plans to come to Montreal, Canada through the help and support of her older sister.
Janet came to Montreal in 1971and Cornel followed 2 years later. Cornel and Janet got married and later started a family. They had 2 sons Kyri Dunning and the late Clint Dunning. They also took care of their niece like she was their own daughter.
Janet was a member of Evangel Pentecostal Church where she served in different ministries (Welcome desk and 2s and 3s). She loved reading her Bible, praying and singing.
In the Ice Storm of 1998 after seeing a number of doctors it was discovered that her sickness as a child was due to a tumor in her brain. Janet recovered from 2 surgeries and continued her passion for sewing for as long as she could.
Janet leaves behind her husband Cornel Dunning, her son Kyri Dunning, and her 3 sisters Lori, Genevieve, Annette, brother in laws and sister in laws and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
We remember Janet for her quiet nature, her love towards her family, friends and all people and her faithfulness to the Lord.
