Conceição Freitas (Nee Neto)

She was born on February 28, 1930, in Madeira, Portugal and immigrated to Canada in 1967 with her husband and 4 children.

She was predeceased by her adoring husband of 66 years, Julio (August 2023). She leaves to mourn her children Jose Sergio (Marianne), Luisa (Oreste), Vanda (Tony), and Zelda (John). Most cherished grandmother of Matthew (Jessica), Daniel (Ana), Erik (Erica), Cassandra, Nicolas (Tim), Victor, Jeremy(Melissa), Julian(Samantha), Lyndsay(Josh) and Sara.

She leaves her sisters Maria and Bernadette and brother Manuel, her sisters in law, Lurdes, Ann, Anne and Celeste.

She was loved by many nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Mom had an incredible love and devotion for her husband, children, her in-laws, grandchildren and extended family. She was a loving and warm person for all that knew her and welcomed everyone into her home for good food and loving attention. She travelled often to visit with her siblings and cherished the time she spent with them. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family.

A visitation will be held on Thursday October 17, 2024 from 2pm-5pm and 7pm to 9pm, at at Collins Clarke Funeral Home, 5610 Sherbrooke St. W, Montréal, Québec. Followed by a funeral service on Friday October 18, 2024 at 12pm at Saint Ignatius of Loyola catholic church, located at 4455 Rue West Broadway, Montréal, Quebec, H4B 2A7.

Special thanks to her caregivers and the staff at St. Andrew’s Residential Center (2nd Floor) for their dedication and kindness.
