SALISKI, William Paul, Sr., 85, of Montgomery, AL and formerly of Staten Island, NY, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015.
He was a decorated WWII and Korean War Veteran. He rose to the ranks of Sergeant Major and served for 33 years in the Army. He served as a U.S. Federal Marshall for 21 years. Pop was a true New Yorker, and an avid Auburn fan. He never knew a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Eleanor Saliski. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. William P. Saliski, Jr., and Marian Saliski; grandchildren, Jessica Megan Saliski, Billy Saliski and his wife Holly; great granddaughter, Pately Saliski; four siblings Loretta Gallagher, Patty Beyers, Barbara Saliski and Michael Saliski.
A Celebration of Life reception will be held at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home on Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama.
