Thomas Earl Freeman Sr. (Tom), a life-long resident of Montgomery, died April 18, 2017. The son of Sue Pugh Freeman, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Sara Ellen Barfield Freeman and his son, Thomas Earl Freeman Jr.
He is survived by: his sons, Jack Barfield Freeman MD (Glenda), Robert Alan Freeman (Andy) and Stephen Randall Freeman (Patty).
His grandchildren include: Thomas Andrew Freeman (Claire), Meridith Glenn Freeman, Laura Katherine Freeman and Cortney Marie Freeman.
His great grandchildren include: Thomas Andrew Freeman Jr. and Evelyn Claire Freeman .
He was vice president of Bear Lumber Company and Bear Brothers where he worked for 50 years before retirement. He was the founder and first president of East Montgomery’s Dixie Youth Baseball and an avid member of Morningview Baptist Church.
Pallbearers for Friday’s services will be: Thomas Andrew Freeman, Mike Vinson, Randon Roberts, Rush Stallings, George Stoddard and John Faulk. Honorary Pallbearers will be: John Jones and Andy Knight
A visitation (10:00 am) and Celebration of Life Service (11:00 am) are set for Friday, April 21 in the chapel of White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home.
