Stephen Samuel Pierce, Jr., passed away February 7, 2022, at the age of 74. He was born in Montgomery and grew up in Columbiana, Alabama. Before making Montgomery his home, he lived in Birmingham, Dallas and Atlanta. Education was important to Steve and he earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from UAB and Troy University Montgomery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Samuel Pierce, Sr. (Sam) and Marie Andress Pierce.
Left to cherish his memories are his sister, Donna Shepler (Lyle) of Montgomery; his brothers, David A. Pierce (Delores) of Birmingham, and Paul S. Pierce (Sally) of Madison, Alabama; his nephews, Jonathan Pierce (Virginia); Andrew Pierce (Morgan); Stephen Pierce (Amy), David Pierce, Jr., and great-nieces, Amanda Pierce and Helen Pierce, all of Birmingham.
As requested by Steve, there will be no funeral service. He asked that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation, The American Heart Association, the Montgomery Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
