Shirley Evelyn King Scarbrough

She graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She also earned a Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis in Biological Sciences from Auburn University Montgomery.

She worked for 30 years in the Montgomery Public School System at Hayneville Road Jr. High, Carver High School and Jefferson Davis High School. She also worked at Alabama State University with the Teaching Teachers project. Her favorite pastime was playing duplicate bridge at the Montgomery Bridge Club.

She married Robert (Bob) Scarbrough on July 11, 1985. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, daughters Mary Jorgensen and Becky Shuler and grandson Robert Jorgensen.

She was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Montgomery, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice are appreciated.

Services are set for Wednesday, May 17th. Visitation at 11:00 and Memorial Service at 12:00 at Immanuel Presbyterian Church.
