Sarah Davis Hamilton, 74, of Montgomery, passed away on the morning of August 24, 2013 at her home. Following a 25-year struggle with congestive heart failure, Sarah passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by loved ones. Memorial services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Leak Memory Chapel with David Phillips and Fenter Northern of Redland Road Church of Christ officiating. Family will receive friends at 10:00am, one hour prior to service. Arrangements will be handled by Leak Memory Chapel. Sarah Hamilton was born in Montgomery to John Everett Davis, Sr. and Mattie Ruth Davis on February 13, 1939 and was a life-long resident of Montgomery. She graduated from Williams High School in Montgomery and retired in 1997 following a 30-year civil service career at Maxwell Air Force Base. Sarah was an active member of Redland Road Church of Christ. Sarah is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Patty and Noel Falls, her sister Jane Boone and her husband Clyde Boone, her brother John Davis, her grandsons Eric and Brandon Falls, their wives Jenni Falls and Jordan Falls, two great grandchildren, Harper Falls and Roland Falls, her niece Terry Baugher and her husband John McCall, nephew Chip Baugher, his wife Tiffany and their children Cody, Hunter, and Logan. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and whose lives she touched. The family of Sarah Hamilton wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the physicians and staff of UAB Hospital, and the nurses and staff of the Montgomery office of Gentiva Hospice. Our loving thanks to Bessie Steiner, Dianne Marlow and Lalita Stoudemire who stayed by her bedside during Sarah’s final days and comforted all of us.
