Sara Lillian Miller Smith

Sara Lillian Miller Smith, 99, a resident of Montgomery, Al passed away peacefully in her home, and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on November 21, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband Bryan Lyster Smith. Parents George Washington and Nola Bell Miller; Brother Ray Miller; Sisters Katherine Curtis and Doris Davis. Son Charles Bryan Smith and son-in-law Mark Joseph “Stitch”Stianche.

She is survived by her son Ed (Vicki) Smith, daughter Charlotte Stianche, and daughter-in-law Ruth Smith. Grandchildren: Aimee ( Craig) Wooden, Steve (Karen) Smith, Beth ( Stephen) Rountree. Josh, Eric, and Ashley Smith. Hunter ( Rebecca ) Stianche and Sarah Stianche along with 13 great grandchildren and a special niece Judi Brigan.

Sara was a faithful member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church for 58 years. She had a servant heart and devoted faith that she instilled in her children, and passed down to the younger generations in her family. Sara and her husband Bryan were married for 67 years. If you knew Sara then you knew that she was the epitome of the fruit of the spirit and led a life of peace and contentment in Christ. Some of her favorite pastimes included studying the word of God with her husband, attending church with her family, providing care for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and most of all-winning countless games of dominos with her family. As many of you know she was a prolific fence climber as well. Sara was beloved by many, and her legacy will live on through the strong bond of her family.

Visitation will be held Friday November 25, 2022 at 1:00pm with a service to follow at White Chapel Funeral home in Montgomery,Al. Graveside to follow.
