Rosetta Carr, 50, of Virginia Beach, VA, died Monday, March 24, 2014. Rosetta was born to the late Willie and Priscilla Smith, January 4, 1964, in Tuskegee, AL. She graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1983 and served honorably in the United States Navy for 20 years before retiring in 2003 as a First Class Petty Officer. She graduated from Bryant and Stratton College in 2013 with a BA in business administration. Rosetta loved her children unconditionally, and was elated to have recently become a grandmother. She also loved her two dogs, Sam and Sid, both of which were a comfort and joy to her and were her constant companions as her children got older. Rosetta is survived by her three children: Brandon Hakim Carr of Los Angeles, CA; Brittany Rasheeda Carr of Alcoa, TN; and Blair Joshua Carr of Alcoa, TN. Rosetta is also survived by one grandchild, Christian. A viewing will be held Monday, Mar. 31 at 8 a.m., CST, at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home in Montgomery, AL. Burial will also be held Monday, Mar. 31 at 2:30 p.m., EST, at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, AL.
