Robert R. "Randy" Parker

Parker, Robert Randolph (Randy),Sr., born May 25, 1948, died suddenly at his home Thursday, December 15, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Renee’ Beasley Parker, sons, Robert Randolph Parker, Jr. and Blake Evan Cobb (Mandee), grandchildren, Kinslee Grace Cobb and Kennedy Faith Cobb. He is also survived by his brother William Marion Parker III (Marcia) and his sisters Margie Parker Miller (Mike) and Ginger Parker Johnson (Buddy) and a number of loved nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law Russell and Rose Beasley. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Marion (Billy) and Mary Glenn Parker. Randy was a lifelong resident of Montgomery and an active and devoted member of Vaughn Forest Church where he was a greeter, usher, and involved in the Landscape Ministry, Security Ministry, and Fellowship Ministry. He graduated from Auburn University and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha social fraternity, and a member of the Montgomery JayCees. Randy served as a board member for the Family Guidance Center of Montgomery. He was the Senior Vice President of Palomar Insurance Corporation where he received national recognition from various insurance companies. A celebration service of his life will be held at Vaughn Forest Church, 8660 Vaughn Road., Montgomery, Al.,Sunday, December 18, 2011, with visitation at 1:00 and the service at 2:00. Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vaughn Forest Church. Serving as pallbearers will be, Woody Bagwell, Danny Brown, Hoke Sullivan, Norman Schlemmer, Rudy Qualio, Tony Craft, Len Skipper and Terry Henley. Honorary pallbearers are the Employees of Palmomar Insurance Corp., B.J.Harris and members of Pi Kappa Alpha Franternity.
