Robert Preston Dewberry

Robert Dewberry, or Bobby as he was known by all, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 in the Baptist South Neuro Intensive Care Unit following a stroke suffered at home on Friday, April 1, 2022. Bobby was born in Elba, AL on September 17, 1941. He moved to Montgomery, AL in 1970 then to Wetumpka, AL in 1997. He received his Phd. in English Education from Auburn University and served as Assistant Superintendent of Education for Montgomery City and County until his retirement.

His stroke ended a twelve year battle with Alzheimers. As he requested, following cremation, there would be no services. Donations may be made in his name to Alzheimer's Association, National Processing Center, PO Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090 or www.alz.org.
