Michael Wayne Edwards

Michael Wayne Edwards, age 77, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at his home due to melanoma cancer. Michael grew up in California but spent much of his adulthood in Alabama. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after a career of over 21 years as a surgical technician stationed at various bases in the U.S., Europe and far east. Upon retiring he worked in the medical field at Baptist East Medical Hospital, Alabama Eye Bank and as a teacher at Virginia College. He also had been a tax consultant/preparer with H&R Block.

He was preceded in death by his parents and youngest brother, all of California. He is survived by his wife of over 43 years, Pam; his son Nicholas, daughter Heather, and granddaughter, Alley. He also has 2 brothers, 7 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He enjoyed traveling all over the world and collecting keepsakes from the various places he visited.

A memorial mass for Michael will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St Bede Catholic Church, 3870 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. A burial at Alabama National Cemetery is set for 2:00 pm after the mass.
