Mary Frances Hodges, age 72, a cherished resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away peacefully. Born to the late James Leon Neese and Frances Bailey Neese, Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew her.
Mary is survived by her two devoted daughters, Angelia Roberts and Christina Kribbs (Justin), and two treasured granddaughters, Lauren Roberts and Chloe Kribbs. She also leaves behind her loving sister, Bobbe Pharr. Mary is predeceased by her sisters, Anne Garret and Pamela LaRue, with whom she shared many fond memories.
Mary shared a deep and enduring love with her late husband, David Hodges, with whom she spent many happy years. Together, they built a life filled with warmth, laughter, and mutual respect. As partners in life and in business, they ran M&D Vending, a local vending business that became a well-known and beloved fixture in the Montgomery community. Their dedication and personal touch earned them the admiration and affection of many.
One of Mary and David’s greatest joys was spending time at their lake property, where they found peace and happiness surrounded by nature. They loved enjoying the lake on their pontoon boat, creating countless cherished memories together.
Mary’s life was filled with simple joys and creative passions. She loved crocheting, canning, making beautiful wreaths, and tending to her garden, where she found fulfillment in nurturing her plants. A loyal and devoted friend, her constant companion was her beloved dog, Little Bit, who was by her side through many of life’s seasons.
Her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her. Mary’s legacy of love, creativity, devotion to her family and community, and her deep bond with her late husband will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
