Mary Frances Carter Bowden, age 84, passed away at home Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Mrs. Bowden was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Vander Velt Bowden. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Dick J.) Brantley, Donna Bowden both of Montgomery, AL.; one brother, W. H. Carter of Vinemont, AL. and one grandson, Nicholas Carter Bowden of Montgomery, AL. Mrs. Bowden worked as a Data Processor for the State of Alabama for 15 years before retiring. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady Queen of Mercy Church on Narrow Lane Road at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 11, 2010 with Father Michael Sreboth officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Thursday, June 10, 2010 from 5:00 until 7:00. Family members will be serving as pallbearers.
