Louise was a loving wife to Bill for 64 years until his death August 31, 2016. She was also a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Louise was famous for planning family vacations that took the family too many destinations. She treasured family gatherings and spoiled everyone with her cooking. Before her dementia she enjoyed playing Yahtzee and Uno with her grandchildren. Louise and Bill shared many hobbies together and after Bill’s retirement they continued to travel, took up bowling where they participated in the Senior Olympics and the Biloxi casinos where Louise enjoyed playing the slot machines. She mainly played the penny machines but when Bill was not looking she ventured over to the nickel and quarter machines. Louise and Bill liked to follow college football and supported the team Richard and Katherine to refer as that orange and blue team where Brenda supported them cheering for Auburn. Louise never missed getting on a football board at the beauty shop and rarely missed her twice a week hair appointments. Until she was diagnosed with Dementia seven years ago she was known for her Red Velvet Cakes that she spoiled extended family and friends with at Christmas.
A visitation for the family will be held July 20, 2017 from Leak Memory at 10:00 am – 11:00 am followed by a graveside service in Greenwood Cemetery.
