BRABHAM, Linda Conway, age 62, after an almost 11 year battle with colon cancer with liver mets, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at her home surrounded by family. A visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at WhiteChapel-Greenwood Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life at 6:30 p.m. She has requested everyone to dress casual “come as you are.” She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Smith; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Agnes Brabham; aunt, Emily Brabham; and niece, Jordan Brabham. She leaves behind her loving husband of 34 years, Steven Lowery Brabham; her daughters, Kimberlee Jo (John) Ellis, Amanda Brabham (Mike) Jones; her son, Kenneth “Bud” (Kristy) Conway; seven grandchildren, Haylee and Hunter Ellis, Ashley and Tyler Jones, Ethan Lynch and Josie and Trenton Conway; numerous nieces and nephews; two brothers, Jim (Joyce) Minton and Vernon (Judy) Smith; and two fur babies, Powder and Lil One. Linda had a career of 30 years in law enforcement. She started with the Kentucky State Police and then served 23 years as grand jury clerk of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office, until she medically retired after her diagnosis in 2006, but her most important job was being a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. The family would like to thank the Montgomery Cancer Center, Dr. Berlin, Dr. Harry Barnes, Dr. Lequire and the doctors at the Mayo Clinic. We would also like to thank each and every healthcare worker that took care of no matter what she was having done. And to all of her of lifelong special friends…thank you for being in our lives.
