Becky was the heart of our home and family. She raised two daughters, Susan (46) and Lauren (43), with great faith, joy, fun, and laughter. Becky was married for 3 weeks shy of 51 years to the love of her life, Joe.
As a grandmother to Kyla (19), Meira (16), and Amos (15), she was known as their greatest cheerleader, “B.”
Lauren Rebecca Baker Breeding was born on January 29, 1952 in Washington D.C. to the late Marion “Mac” and Bernice “Bunny” Baker and was welcomed by her older brother, Richard. Becky graduated from Seneca Highschool in Louisville, KY where she was a majorette and a member of the AZD social club. She went on to attend Western Kentucky University where she was an active member of ADPi sorority and a Sigma Chi Little Sister.
Becky became an accomplished realtor with Prudential Ballard, as well as Alfa Realty. She served in numerous capacities at Vaughn Forest Church in Montgomery, AL, particularly with the Reality and Truth Ministry, where she was very involved with serving homeless and incarcerated women. She also loved being the chaplain for the Southern Alabama Disaster Relief at Vaughn Forest and coordinating RG3 (Realtors Giving Glory to God.)
She had a heart to help people. She adored her friends and loved to spend time with them at prayer groups, meal clubs, and girls trips. She also loved being at her home away from home on Lake Martin with her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to support a ministry close to Becky’s heart, the Reality and Truth Ministry at Vaughn Forest Church. https://www.realityandtruth.com
