Larry Donell Brown, age 67, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Larry was born August 27, 1954 to William Rople Brown and Lamittice Brown. He is survived by his sister, Linda Brown Douglas and her husband Jesse and an aunt, Jean White. He was uncle to Jonathan Douglas and Christie Boothe (Austin); great uncle to Caton, Casidee, Piper, Finley and great great uncle to Griffin and Nolan (Caton and Tiffany) Fisher.
Larry began his interest in guitar and electronics during his teen years with his friend, Kevin. Repairing and installing radios, t.v.s, and car stereos at Datsun he was a natural repair and install person. As he learned about computers, he landed a job at the Montgomery Civic Center growing into the role of stage manager for shows and concerts. He retired and continued in what he loved: fixing electronics and all kinds of equipment, ham radio operating and participating in an amateur radio club. A c.b. opertator and later a ham opertator, he developed friendships all over the United States. Larry was extremely patriotic as supported by the flags that flew in his yard. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Douglas, Jonathan Douglas, Austin Boothe, David Morris, Kevin Calhoun and Mac Carmichael.
A graveside for Larry will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens, 909 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. Pastor Ruby Beck of Reviving Ministries will be officiating.
Larry's family would like to extend a special "thank you" to Kevin Calhoun for his timely encouragement and assistance during this difficult time.
