John Hayward Nichols passed away on February 8, 2017 in Montgomery, AL. He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Naomi Nichols, his brothers, Harold “Hop” Nichols and Dewey “Duke” Nichols, and his sisters, Glenice Reynolds and Marie Dismukes. He is survived by his wife, Eloise Virgin Nichols, his children, Patricia Dean (Danny), Klenton L. McLemore (Patricia), William W. McLemore (Glenda), Davis S. McLemore, Eloise V. Frye, and Ira Stanley Frye, M.D. (Stacy, M.D.), his brother, Charles Robert Nichols (Nellie Vee), his sister, Minnie Ruth Dismukes, his grandchildren, Michelle Evans, Brandy Naqvi, John Hayward McLemore, LeGrand McLemore, Morton McLemore, Kate McLemore, Scout McLemore, Shannon Wilson, Jeni McLemore, Justin Rhodes, Zack Fitzpatrick, Drew Frye, Shelby Frye, Daniel Dean, and Courtney Corum, and host of great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 5:00-7:00PM. A Chapel service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 11:30AM. A burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Morton McLemore, Le Grand McLemore, Daniel Dean, Thomas Corum, John McLemore, and Kraig Barron. Honorary Pallbearers include: William Virgin, M.D., Ray Scott, Phillip Norton, Robert Dickson, Buddy Jenkins, and Willie Barrow.
