John Clinton David

John C. David, age 65, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on March 07, 2019, after a brief illness. Visitation will be held at Leak-Memory Chapel, Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at 12:00pm with graveside services to follow at 2:00pm, officiated by Pastor Brandon Dasinger. Pallbearers to include: Bobby Gardner, Don Vaughn, Jeff Whynott, Chris Bryan, Curtis Johnson, Danny Clements, Tim McCormick and Mike Vinson.

John was a 1972 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and then attended Auburn University where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha and became a passionate Tigers fan. He was also an active board member of East Montgomery Baseball and Softball for over 25 years during which time he coached and mentored many young players.

John was preceded in death by his parents, James H. David and Laura Belle Shepherd; sister, Nancy Ann David; and brother, William David. He is survived by one daughter, Heather David; sons, Clint David and Brandon Flowers; and a loving ex-wife and friend, Debbie David; one brother, James David; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to extended a heartfelt thank you to Bobby and Lisa Gardner and Don and Becki Vaughn for their unfailing love and support; also to the caring staff at the Montgomery Cancer Center and the ICU Unit at Baptist Medical Center East. A special thank you to ICU unit nurse, Yolanda Ray, who became one of his dearest supporters. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to give to a charity of your choice in his honor.
