Jerry Lewis Edwards

EDWARDS, Jerry Lewis (Black Piston Jerry), age 53, passed away at his home with his family by his side Friday, December 9, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM from St. Paul Lutheran Church, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM with Pastor Carey Elam officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Jerry was the loving husband of 31 years to Marie Edwards; a special father of two children; Nichole (Brad) Messer, and Jerry "Bo" (Erica) Edwards, Jr. and Poppi to three beautiful granddaughters; Tatum, Tabby and Taylor Anne. He is also survived by his mother, Betty Cauthen; brothers, Floyd Edwards, Steven (Mona) Edwards; sisters, Carolyn Bostick and Judy (Jerry) McGinnis and numerous extended family and close friends. Jerry loved riding and spending time with his Club "brothers", was dearly loved and will be missed by all. The family would also like to thank Hospice of Montgomery, his dedicated and loving nurse, Nedra ("Need Ya") and the entire biker community. Pallbearers will be Big-T, Big John, Dan Rice, Loke, Iceman, Wild Wild West, Pacman and J-Bird. Honorary pallbearers will be the Black Piston MC. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 16, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Leak-Memory Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Hospice of Montgomery.
