Jeanette Morrow Aldridge, 92, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on December 6, 2024, in Huntsville. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Frank Warren Aldridge, by her parents, Fellis Franklin and Elma Louise Morrow, and by two brothers, James Floyd Morrow and Jerry Lynn Morrow. She is survived by two daughters, Patti Weldon (Bill) of Madison, and Donna Barrs (Mark), of Montgomery; three grandchildren, Sarah Rhodes (Matt) of Madison, James Barrs, of Montgomery, and Nathan Barrs, of Birmingham; and by two great-granddaughters. She is also survived by four siblings, Jane Elizabeth Morrow, Benjiman Fellis Morrow, and Marion Franklin Morrow of Dothan, and Helen Sue Sellers of Mobile, along with a number of nieces and nephews, their children, and their grandchildren. Jeanette and all of her siblings were born in the small rural community of Danleys Crossroads near Elba, Alabama. She was a 1950 graduate of Elba High School and a 1954 graduate of St. Margaret’s School of Nursing in Montgomery. Jeanette enjoyed a decades-long career at St. Margaret’s Hospital until her retirement in 1991. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. After the funeral service, burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, Alabama, or to a similar hospice provider in your community.
