Janet Beasley Roughton, 62, of Hope Hull, Alabama, passed away on October 2, 2016. Visitation will be held at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home in Montgomery, AL on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm. Graveside service will immediately follow at Alabama Heritage Cemetery with Brad Sullivan, minister of Vaughn Park Church of Christ officiating.
Janet was born to William and Retha Beasley on November 13, 1953. She graduated from Lanier High School and went on to obtain her degree in Cosmetology from John Patterson Technical College. Janet previously owned a beauty salon in Montgomery and has worked in Cosmetology for over 40 years in the Montgomery area. She enjoyed cutting hair and visiting with customers, going to the mountains, helping others, cooking big dinners, and especially spending time with her children; Amie Dean, John and Kerin Hannon, and Charles and Dodey Roughton. Most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren; Alyssa and Peyton, Emmallee, Raylee, Walker, Mylee, Ella and Leah.
Janet is preceded in death by her daughter, Allison Hannon, her husband Charles Roughton Sr. and her parents, William and Retha Beasley.
She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be deeply missed and openly welcomed into heaven. We love you!
