WATTS, James Allen, III, 57, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014, in Panama City, FL, following a brief illness. He was predeceased by his parents, James A. Watts, Jr., and Evelyn Glen Carr Watts. Jim is survived by his wife of 29 years, Catherine Ott Watts; his children and grandchildren, Madeline and Michael Franklin and children Castiel and Alexis of Cape Hattaras, N.C., and James Cody and Nicki Watts and son Isaiah of Panama City, FL, and also by his wife’s family, Ruth Ott of Montgomery; Jay and Karen Ott and their children of Atlanta, as well as many close relatives and friends in Montgomery, Texas, Virginia, and Georgia. Jim had a long career in Law Enforcement, serving with the U.S. Bureau of Prisons, Tallassee, Autaugaville, and Millbrook Police Departments, and the Federal Police Force, assigned to the 325FW at Tyndall AFB, FL. He recently obtained his Florida Real Estate License and was looking forward to pursuing his second career in Real Estate. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, and doting grandfather, who also loved sailing, Jimmy Buffet, and Auburn Football. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, from 5 – 7 PM at Leak Memory Chapel Funeral Home, followed by his Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at 2 PM, also at Leak Memory, with Ray Weaver officiating and burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
