James was a public servant for the State of Alabama before his medical retirement. He was an active member of Vaughn Forest Church for many years. James was a “die-hard” Auburn fan since childhood. He loved history, loved to talk to people and had a wry sense of humor.
James was preceded in death by his parents, James Edmond and Anita Jean Taylor. He is survived by his wife, Angela W. Taylor, and his son, James (Trey) E. Taylor, III of Montgomery, AL. He is also survived by his sister, Jeanine T Faulkner (Kevin), Taylor Ann Faulkner (niece), and Tyler James Faulkner (nephew), Pike Road, Alabama, his uncle, Carl (Jane) Peak, Tallassee, Alabama and numerous cousins and extended family. James also had a loving dog, Sam, and cat, Savannah.
The family will receive visitation from friends and family Thursday, July 14th from 1:30 to 3:00 in the chapel at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home, Montgomery, AL. Funeral service will be at 3:00, with graveside to follow. The Reverend Winston Brooks will preside over the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to Trec International (trecmud.com) or Beauty by Fire Ministries (beautybyfire.org).
