RIP brother Falcon.Always a good  time with Jimmy at Textile. 

To the Hawthorne Family:  Our prayers and support at this time.  I went and played soccer with Jim (Moon) Hawthorne at Philadelphia Textile.  We shared a lot of fun times and friendship.

I am so lost for words at this moment with great sadness. James was my supervisory and I had the opportunity to learn a lot from him.  As I advanced in my Federal Career I would contact him to ask if I could use him as a reference he would laugh and say yes Kiddo! I will always remember him for his laughter, loyalty and his Leadership. Rest in Peace James you will be greatly missed!!

To the family of Jimmy Hawthorne. I cant tell you how much he is missed by me and other friends in our small financial community.  Jim was a great mentor to all of us, and quick of wit and wise beyond his years.  He was smart as a whip and always their for everyone to lift spirits with his great advice. We all looked forward to his comments on various situations. Jim was our "go to" guy.  A toast to our friend Jimmy,  the Lord took you to soon.  Across the pond brother, missed by all of us.  The Lehman Gang.

My favorite cousin... Philly all the way..alot that I want to say can not be mentioned. Lol..... But he was the most generous person I know...gonna miss his butt... Condolences go out to Joy and family...and of course RiRi... Love you all...  Go Eagles... You got your Super Bowl

I first met James around 2005 at work.  Although I had not seen him since 2011 when I transferred to another part of country, I had and have very fond memories of him.  We had a number of talks about family, sports and just life in general.  I remember James as someone who had common sense (something now rare) and utmost integrity.  He really cared about others and was very loyal to family and friends.  I know he will be greatly missed and my thoughts and prayers are for his family and friends at this time. 

My dear Re, my deepest condolences in the loss of Jimmy. He will be close in your heart with the memories you have.
Please let Joy, Danny and Leigh Ann they are in my prayers.

I first met Jimmy when he arrived at YYZ to meet up with the girl who would become the love of his life. But first we had to wait for customs to release him after he explained he was here to visit friends in Canada - and maybe look around for a bit of work while he was here!  That wry sense of humour, deep pride of family and get-to-it-helpfulness is surely going to be missed by all who loved him.     



James was such an awesome human being. We met at work and had each other's back. What I loved about him was how much he loved Joy, always had loving and positive things to say about her. He loved his family and was so proud of his son and his family. He would send me pictures of his garden and share all of the yummy stuff he would make. He was an absolute gentleman which is hard to find these days. He helped me when it was not mandatory. When I found out that I had a diagnosis that frightened me, he was so encouraging to me. I miss him dearly, he is one of a kind and he is the only person that called me "toots" which would always put a smile on my face. He always had such a positive attitude! I love you my dear friend! Don't worry about Joy, we are all here for her, family and friends.
