FURLOW, James Douglas (Doug) age 81, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on October 13, 2015. He was born in Pike County, Alabama on February 1, 1934, the son of Grover and Exa Furlow. He is survived by his loving wife Sally Kelly Furlow; daughters, Sally Ann Furlow Swain (John) and Sondra Kay Furlow Bradford (Rob) and two grandchildren: Devon and Sabrina Bradford. He was a Christian and member of First Baptist Church. He graduated from The University of Nebraska (Omaha) as well as The University of Nebraska (Lincoln) where he obtained his Master of Business Degree. He retired from the United States Air Force with 20 years of service. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked at the Department of Transportation for 28 years. Doug was a loving husband and father of deep faith whose life centered on his family and church. He will be sorely missed.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home with Dr. Dale Huff and Pastor Kenny Hoomes officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
