Glen Odell Pruitt, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024, in Montgomery, Alabama. Born on April 15, 1941, in McDowell County, West Virginia, he was the cherished son of the late Tilda Pruitt. Glen is now joyfully reunited in heaven with his beloved granddaughter, Courtney Pruitt, as well as his sisters Lou Leigon, Pat Surratt, Geneva Sayler, and brothers Hershel Pruitt and Jim Pruitt.
A proud graduate of Concord College, Glen devoted his career to Tennessee Valley Authority, Blount International, and Locke & Associates, where his work ethic and dedication left a lasting impact. His life was full of rich experiences, including playing basketball overseas and serving his country in the Air Force and Secret Service. Yet, Glen’s most profound legacy lies in his enduring love for his wife, Glenna. Together, they celebrated an extraordinary sixty-one years of marriage, building a life rich in love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. Their bond was a beautiful testament to the love of our heavenly Father.
Family was at the cornerstone of Glen's life. He found immense joy in the time spent with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife, Glenna Pruitt; son Glen Pruitt (Ashley); daughter Keri Lee (Bubba) and bonus daughter Angie Parker (Danny); and grandchildren Will Pruitt, Chase Lee, Pruitt Lee, Hannah Parker, Riley Parker, Elizabeth Fralish (Sully), Alex Fike, and Austin Fike (Gwin). He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Pallbearers are Will Pruitt, Chase Lee, Pruitt Lee, Riley Parker, Jeff Reynolds, Listen Eddins, Larry Long and Bob Scruggs. Honorary pallbearers are the men of the Living Today Sunday School class.

A visitation for Glen will be held Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 am at Frazer Church, 6000 Atlanta Hwy, Montgomery, AL 36117, followed by a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. A graveside service will follow immediately after.
