Ellen L. Kunkle, age 83 of Montgomery, passed away on Thursday June 8, 2017. Momma was a wonderful spirit, full of love; she was a giver of her heart and soul even though some never returned it. Born to the late Elisha Andrew and Marie Ellen Beers, she was a special mother in her own right. When God created Ellen, He threw away the mold. She was a mother who never wanted to forget that she tried with all her heart and soul to show God's love and honor. She had a voice like angels in Heaven, a laugh of Joy; we joked and cried. She had a heart of gold. Ellen was a wonderful friend with a faith in God's light, a light that shines more than any of us now. She was a light that shined so bright and her hugs, her smile; her love for doing right, her life was a blessing to many. She was kind, sweet, giving, understanding. She was simply very special.
In addition to her parents, she is reunited in Heaven with her husband, Edgar Lee Kunkle; son, John Gregory Kunkle; and daughter, Deborah Lodeana McGinty, sisters; Carol Ann Hopkins and Gerald Dean Ruth Wendlandt. She is survived by her loving children; Patricia Burnette, Belinda Pyles, Deborah Elisha Kunkle, Chasity Dunkerson, and Camilla Lancaster, her son-in-law; Joseph Burnette Sr., her grandchildren; John Gregory Kunkle II, Brandon Hatcher, James Andrew Pyles, Ricky Dale, Jr., Ellen Lynn Stodghill, Shannon Hopkins, Kimberly Marlene Brasington, Desiree Alykam, Camden Hatcher, numerous great-grandchildren, family and friends.
