EASTERLING, Elizabeth Ann, 77, a resident of Deatsville, AL, went home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on Thursday, September 14, 2023 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease and cancer. Ann was born on June 11, 1946, in Georgia, to Curtis and Catherine Brantley. Ann was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was truly an inspiration to all who knew her and will be sorely missed by her many friends and loved ones.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Catherine Brantley, her son, Matthew Brian Hooper, and her brother, Curtis H. Brantley, Jr. She is survived by her children, son, Jason (Wendy) Easterling; daughter, Kelly (Greg) Godwin; three grandchildren, Kimball, Madison, and Camryn; two great grandchildren, Kai and Koa; three grand dogs, Vern, Waylon, and Rambo, and her precious nieces, nephews, and cousins. A home-going celebration for Ann is scheduled for Monday, September 18 at 1:00 PM at White Chapel- Greenwood, Rev. Mack Farley officiating, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, with White Chapel- Greenwood directing. Pallbearers will be Kimball Barnes, Greg Godwin, Chad Brantley, Jamall Smith, Jeremiah Rice, and BJ Ward. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 AM until 1 PM with Graveside beginning at 1PM in Greenwood Cemetery.
The family acknowledges with grateful appreciation the love and support shown by her church family at Spirit Walk Ministries and would also like to acknowledge the excellent care and compassion shown by the doctors, nurses and staff at Shelby Baptist Medical Center and Aveanna Hospice.
