Dorothy Jean Faulkner

On Saturday, October 15, Dot Faulkner, a beloved wife, mother and friend, passed away at the age of 73. Dot was born in Montgomery on September 19, 1949.

Dot is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Evie Lee Burt; her son, David Michael Faulkner; her brother Sonny Burt.

Dot is survived by her husband Jimmy Faulkner; her children, James and LeighAnne Faulkner of Millbrook, AL; Willie and Lorita Faulkner, of Vestavia, AL; her grandchildren, Hailey Allen, Zac Allen (husband of Hailey), Abby Faulkner, Aaron Johnson (Significant other of Abby), Natalie Faulkner, Ellie Faulkner, David Faulkner, and Dixon Faulkner; her great grandchildren, Ava Grace, Tatum and Ryder Allen as well as Leo and Lily James Johnson. Other survivors include, her brother, Bo and Nancy Burt, Jimmy and Mary Burt, and sister-in-law Jill Burt (wife of Sonny).

Dot spent most of life in the Eastbrook area of Montgomery. Dot enjoyed her grandchildren. They had many sea doo adventures on Lake Martin. Dot loved Lake Martin, and began her lake life in 1953. She was employed by the State of Alabama in several departments retiring from the Department of Labor. She enjoyed riding her motor scooter every chance she got.

A celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday October 22, 2022, at Capitol Heights Baptist Church. The family will receive visitors in the Chapel from 9:00 AM – 9:45AM.

In lieu of flowers we ask that memorials are made to the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB in honor of Dot.
