It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David Craig Parker, who left us unexpectedly on November 14, 2024, at the age of 67. David Craig was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and partner, whose life touched many with love, laughter, and a deep sense of loyalty.
Born on April 1, 1957, in Montgomery, AL, David Craig was the son of John David and Harriett Parker. He was a person who loved fiercely and lived fully, always ready with a listening ear or a kind gesture. David Craig brought joy to all who knew him, and will be remembered for his infectious smile, boisterous laughter, and big personality.
He was a loving brother to Starr Peacock (Glenn), Blake Parker (Angela), Paige Myers (Randal), and a devoted uncle to Parker Aspinwall (Bryant), Bradley Fain (Carissa), John Blake Parker, Jr (Hannah), McKinsey Myers, Grant Parker (Taylor), Bailey Hammond (Will), Hudson Parker (Molli), and Halle Parker. The love he had for each of them was immeasurable, and they will forever carry with them the cherished memories of Uncle Craig's presence in their lives. David Craig was especially proud of the special bond shared with his great niece and nephew, Cooper and Mia Aspinwall.
In addition to family, David Craig is survived by his girlfriend, Heather Turner Lewis, who he lovingly called Ms. Turner.
David Craig had a passion for singing and loved nothing more than sharing his talent with others. Outside of singing, David Craig enjoyed hunting, Alabama football, and doting on his beloved dogs. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all who have supported them during this difficult time. A celebration of David Craig's life will be held on Tuesday, November 19th at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home. The visitation will begin at 3:00pm with a memorial service following at 4:00pm (no graveside service will take place). All who knew David Craig are invited to attend and share in the remembrance of a life well-lived. We invite you to join us in wearing Alabama football-themed attire to honor Craig’s memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Elmore County Humane Society in David Craig's memory.
David Craig will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and warmth that will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known him.
