He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Margaret (Mike) Breland Epps, his parents, Thomas and Lily Epps, his sister Mariam Head, and an infant son. He is survived by his children: Benita Hallmark, Charlene Daugherty, Jeanmarie Trice (John), and Joseph (Bud) Epps (Debey); grandchildren: Courtney Sellers (Daniel), Brent Johnson, Brooke Johnson, Bella McNeill (Ben), Victoria Rhodes (Will), Joey Epps (Laura), and John Charles Trice (Patty); and great-grandchildren: Breland and Maddie Rae Sellers, Olivia Johnson and Lynnlee Watts, Noah Roberts, Charlie and Jesse McNeill, Cadence Rhodes, Forest Epps, and Soraya Trice.
Charlie attended Starke Military Academy and Marion Military Institute. After service in the military, he was a cabinetmaker by trade. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He had a special gift with all types of animals and had many pets throughout the years. He was a member of Eastmont Baptist Church.
There will be a private, service for the family on Monday, 12/16/24, at Greenwood Cemetery with Dr. Shawn Merithew presiding. Arrangements under the direction of White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, Montgomery, AL.
