Charles Bryan Smith

Charles Bryan Smith of Montgomery, Al passed away in his home and entered into the arms of Jesus on 11/3/21. He is preceded in death by his father Bryan Lyster Smith. Father and Mother in law Fielding and Edna Bumpass. Brother in law’s Mark Stianche and Fielding Bumpass Jr. and sister in law June Farr.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Ruth Smith. His children and grandchildren Aimee (Craig) Wooden; Lyndi, Brenna, Kaylee, and Charli, Steve (Karen) Smith; Clem and Lilli Margaret, Beth (Stephen) Rountree; Chaselea and Alex. Mother Sara Smith, brother Ed (Vicki) Smith, sister Charlotte Stianche, brother in law Tom (Ann) Bumpass, nephews; Hunter, Josh, Eric, Steve, and Tommy, and nieces; Sarah Catherine, Ashley, and Libby. As well as his sweet little dog Rosie.

If you knew Charles then you knew that he was a man of few words, but when he spoke, you listened. He loved the Lord with all his heart. His favorite pastime was studying God's word and applying it to his life. He instilled into his children and grandchildren the Godly principles he lived.

Visitation will be held Friday November 12, 2021 at 1:00pm with a service to follow at 2:00pm White Chapel Funeral home in Montgomery, Al with graveside service to follow at Greenwood cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers are Stephen Rountree, Craig Wooden, Steve Johnson, Hunter Stianche, Alex Rountree, Clem Smith, and Jimmy Handey.

Flowers will be accepted or Memorial donations can be made to Eastern Hills Baptist Church at 3604 Pleasant Ridge Rd. Montgomery, Al 36109.
