Beverly Carol Bozeman Gilliand, 59, a life-long resident of Montgomery, Alabama passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 4, 2013. She grew up with a big, loving family and enjoyed spending lots of time boating, fishing, skiing, playing spoons, cooking together and making memories at Lake Martin with her cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and sweet friends like Laura. She was very creative always tried to look her best. Her hair and make-up were always neat and she dressed to perfection like her mom and daughter Kelly. She loved sewing, making scrap books, and cooking - she really was a good cook! Beverly loved spending time with Kelly, David and Robert. She enjoyed watching ice skating and taking care of her plants and her dog “Bama”. Beverly never forgot anybody's birthday!!! With such a large family, we don't know how she did it, but everyone would get a birthday card or email every year. She often spoke of her parents and never stopped grieving their loss and spoke often of her hopes to be with them again. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and was baptized when she was a teenager. She attended Eastern Hills Baptist Church in Montgomery. Beverly was loving and accepting and her family could do no wrong in her eyes. She retired as office manager from the Department of Transportation of the State of Alabama after almost 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Terry and Betty Bozeman and is survived by her daughter Kelly and husband Chris Schofield of Montgomery, Alabama; Son: David Gilliand Jr. and girlfriend Pamela of Montgomery; Brother: Terry Bozeman and his partner Ken and their daughter Anna Lee; Granddaughter Abby; special friend Robert and many cousins and in laws that she loved so much. Graveside services will be at 10 am Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Greenwood Cemetery. Everyone should meet at cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.leak-mc.com.
