Barbara Elrod Smith of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Wednesday March 30, 2022 at the age of 85. Barbara was originally from Hermitage, Tennessee.
Barbara was a faithful Christian and a long time member of Perry Hill Road Church of Christ. She was a beloved wife and mother. She was a gentle and caring woman who loved to welcome people into her home and share a meal. Everyone around her was always made to feel at home. There will be a private graveside service held for the family.
She is survived by her husband of almost 66 years, Neal B. Smith, her children, Tifinie S. Henry and Tiara S. Kent (George), and her grandchildren Jerome Henry, Jefferson Henry, Olivia Kent, Emily Kent, and Whitman Kent.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Rubie Elrod.
Funeral Services will be held privately at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home and Cemetery.
